Globalisation has expanded dramatically in recent decades, with far reaching implications for both developed and developing nations. However, in more recent years, there has been a growing challenge relating to the arguments in favour of globalisation, which stem from rising income inequalities, widening trade imbalances and shifts in the ‘spheres of influence’ across the world. This project will explore the implications of globalisation and will focus on an investigation of the consequences for economic growth, international trade and economic development.
