Groundwater is referred to as the “hidden sea”. Although it makes up the vast majority of freshwater available to humans it remains unseen and poorly understood. This course will unlock its mysteries and help you use this precious resource responsibly.

The course will be delivered through a combination of lectures and group activities.What you will learn
Participants will understand the fundamentals of groundwater including different aquifer types and how water moves through them. You will learn about how groundwater gets contaminated and how that can be prevented. Additionally, you will learn about the effects of climate change on groundwater levels and quality, and how these changes affect water management and resource planning.
