Background
Dr Morsy is a Senior Research Fellow in Hydrogen Combustion System Design and Testing at Â鶹´«Ã½AV. He leads pioneering research initiatives focused on advancing the application and understanding of hydrogen combustion technologies. His work includes the design of hydrogen fuel supply systems for gas turbines and the development of DLE/DLN combustors running on 100% hydrogen, with an emphasis on efficiency, emissions reduction, and system performance across various operating conditions.
Dr Morsy began his professional journey as a Design Engineer at EWA-Company in August 2010, where he was responsible for providing technical advice and guidance, contributing to the process design of pressure vessels, steel structures, and pipelines. Over the years, he has developed extensive experience in experimental techniques, including Optical Engines, Combustion Vessels, and Burners, as well as optical diagnostics such as PIV, PLIF, and Schlieren photography.
In his current role, Dr Morsy is actively involved in the design, testing, and validation of hydrogen combustion systems for aerospace and power generation applications. He works on developing combustion technologies that support the transition to sustainable hydrogen-powered engines. His responsibilities also include leading experimental investigations to evaluate combustion performance, stability, and emissions, as well as contributing to the development of models and simulations for these systems.
